Training on the hills of Ile D'orleans
Walked a 26 km loop on a small island in the St. Lawrence river outside of Quebec City. As promised it was hilly. I am fortunate to have a friend (Sheila) willing to walk with me in all types of weather.

Betty in Training
Training is going well and 3 weeks before departure I know that I could walk the Camino in 30 days if it was flat. I will start adding some elevation 'tomorrow'… I am a walker but a lazy one!

An opportunity to test your limits (if I hear one more story about why the Maple Leafs are in a good position going into next season, I am going to ram this walking stick down his throat!) ...Priceless
In about 3 weeks Betty, Laurel and I will begin an adventure of our life time. We are setting out to tackle the heat, crowds, and sheer distance of the Camino de Santiago. We plan to spend about 40 days walking and complaining and about a week recovering in Porto and Madrid before returning to Canada, Stay tuned here for daily dispatches.
